This pitcher is made in the fashion of an ear of corn with its husking. The realism is wonderful, evident in each kernel of corn represented and the blades of incised greenery. The body is bulbous which further accentuates the naturalism of the pottery. The underside is hand incised England, which would date it to c. 1890. Given its size, it may have been used for cream or possibly gravy.

Good - there is some wear to the handle from use, and some light darkening on high points.
