Alexander John Drysdale used his innovative technique of mixing oil paints with kerosene to produce this dreamy landscape of oak and cypress trees in a lush Louisiana bayou. The depth of the composition allows the viewer to drift effortlessly into the distant fog to savor beauties of the time and place captured by the artist. Framed and glazed in what appears to be the picture's original mount. Medium is oil wash on paperboard. Signed and dated lower right.
