GERMANY, 19TH CENTURY A fine German black forest carved figural vase of the White Rabbit from Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". The rabbit is depicted wearing his waistcoat and vest holding a flute while leaning against a tree trunk adjacent to a succulent. The vase was naturalistically carved with intricate detail, notice the lifelike textures of the tree trunk, foliage, and rabbit's fur. 8 1/2" tall
