- Lot Description
A rare and monumental water pitcher by celebrated Mexican silversmith Alfredo Villasana, handcrafted in Taxco, Mexico, circa 1950s. This sculptural piece is a masterful example of mid-century Mexican modernism, crafted in hammered copper, silver plate, and inlaid with crushed turquoise in a striking parrot form.
The stylized parrot handle, detailed with inlaid turquoise and perched atop the flared vessel, adds both whimsy and a commanding presence. The body’s hammered and naturally patinated surface contrasts beautifully with the cool green tones of the parrot. The interior and base show age and authenticity, further enhancing its collectible value.

Local pickup is welcomed, please call in advance to setup an appointment and ensure the items are paid for before picking up. For out of state buyers we can provide shipping quotes or provide a list of shippers, we do not pack anything ourselves but we can drop off the pieces to a shipping store such as UPS or FedEx and arrange shipping with freight companies such as Plycon, Craters & Freighters, Tramo, Cube, and others.
