- Lot Description
Charming and rare vintage flower vase by the renowned Taxco silversmiths Los Castillo, handcrafted in Taxco, Mexico in the 1950s. This sculptural piece is made of hammered copper with stone inlay detailing in green and blue hues, showcasing the studio’s iconic fusion of craftsmanship and natural materials.
The rounded form is compact yet bold, with a flared neck and decorative stone inlays arranged in a geometric band circling the shoulder. The stones—likely turquoise and malachite—provide a vibrant contrast to the warm copper surface, which has developed a beautiful aged patina.
Stamped underside:
“LOS CASTILLO / TAXCO / HECHO EN MEXICO / M.R. / 139”

4.25 in. high × 4.25 in. diameter
Condition:
Vintage used condition with surface wear, scratches, and some small dings consistent with age and use. Patina is intact and desirable, adding character and authenticity.

Local pickup is welcomed, please call in advance to setup an appointment and ensure the items are paid for before picking up. For out of state buyers we can provide shipping quotes or provide a list of shippers, we do not pack anything ourselves but we can drop off the pieces to a shipping store such as UPS or FedEx and arrange shipping with freight companies such as Plycon, Craters & Freighters, Tramo, Cube, and others.
