- Lot Description
Attributed to George Loring Brown (American 1814-1889) oil on canvas landscape, possibly a White Mountains or Italian scene, depicting three figures by the side of a lake. One carries a large stick or fishing pole, and there are several boats sailing in the water. Possible very faint signature lower left. Wide giltwood frame with applied scrolled ornamentation. Sight: 35 in. W x 27 in. H. Frame: 45 in. W x 37 in. H.
Condition
Craquelure throughout; scattered spots of infill painting to flakes and small patches, up to 2" diameter.
