- Lot Description
Two (2) North Carolina, Catawba Valley alkaline glazed stoneware pottery items.1st item: Two-gallon ovoid form jar with lug handles. Flat rim with two incised lines around the shoulder and two incised lines above each handle. Incised "2" below the rim denoting capacity. 11 1/2" H. 2nd item: Alkaline glazed jug with pulled handle applied from the upper shoulder to the neck and three incised lines on the neck. 13 1/4" H. Late 19th century.
Condition
1st item: Good condition with shallow chips to the base, handles, and rim. 2nd item: Restored neck and rim.
