- Lot Description
Two (2) stoneware pottery jugs, North Carolina and English. 1st item: Large 4-gallon salt-glazed ovoid form North Carolina jug. Two pulled handles, incised "4" on the upper shoulder denoting gallon capacity, with two incised bands below the neck. 18 1/2" H. Late 19th/Early 20th century. 2nd item: Ovoid form jug with a pulled handle, stamped SWAINE opposite the handle, with a notch at the handle terminus. Two incised lines above the upper shoulder and three incised lines around the neck. 11 1/2" H. 19th century.

Item 1: Overall very good condition Item 2: Very good condition with minor scattered firing flaws.
