- Lot Description
Two small Meyer R. Wolfe (Tennessee/New York, 1897-1985) mixed media works on paper. 1st item: Gouache and graphite on paper painting depicting a group of nude male swimmers in an outdoor setting. unsigned and housed under glass in a simple wood frame. Sight: 3 1/4 in. H x 4 1/8 in. W. Framed: 7 1/4 in. H x 8 1/8 in. W. 2nd item: Pastel and graphite on paper painting depicting two nude figures in an outdoor mountainous setting bending over to pick daffodils. Pencil signed "M. Wolfe" lower right. Housed in a gilt bamboo wood style frame. Sight: 4 7/8 in. H x 6 3/8 in. W. Framed: 10 1/4 in. H x 11 1/8 in. W.
Condition
Both paintings overall good condition. Frame of smaller painting with separation and glue to three corners.
