- Lot Description
Four (4) coin silver tablespoons in the King's Pattern, marked for J. Eyland & Co., working Charleston, South Carolina, first half 19th century. Monogrammed "ER" to handle. Lot also includes one (1) gravy ladle with incuse mark for Charleston retailer Hayden and Whilden, maker's mark of Theodore Evans & Co., NY; Two (2) forks stamped for Ball, Black & Co. of New York, and one (1) coin silver knife with filled handle, marked for Albert Coles & Co. of New York, all second half 19th century. Ranging in size from 5 1/2" to 9". Combined weighable silver: 13.63 oz troy.
PROVENANCE: By descent in the historic Pinckney family of Runnymede Plantation, South Carolina.
Condition
Overall good condition, all monogrammed. 1 Eyland spoon has loss to tip of bowl. Wear to monograms. Wear and uneven tines to forks. Small dents and wear to knife.
