Large coin silver mug or cup with repousse floral decoration and beaded rims, central cartouche inscribed "Francesca from CDR / January 16, 1899". The underside with incuse stamp HAYDEN BROTHER & CO for Charleston, SC retailers Hayden, Brothers, & Co. (Augustus H. Hayden, Hezekiah S. Hayden, and William G. Whilden, working 1852-1855) and makers William Gale & Son of New York, dated 1853, 5"H. 6.95 oz troy.
PROVENANCE: By descent in the historic Pinckney family of Runnymede Plantation, South Carolina.

A few minor dents, overall very good condition.
