- Lot Description
Antique Turkish Ladik prayer rug, wool on wool, with central Mihrab design within three primary borders with geometric motifs. Signed on the upper section of the Mihrab design. Woven in red, blue, green, brown, and cream colors. 5 ft 4 in x 3 ft 5 in. Late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
Condition
Overall even wear, some warpage and losses to the left margin, old repair and fraying upper right corner, and losses to the fringe on each end.
