- Lot Description
Harry Martin Book (Pennsylvania, 1904-1971) oil on canvas landscape painting depicting a group of farmhouses in the foothills of a mountain backdrop, with bright green fields and vertical trees with verdant foliage, under a blue sky. Signed and dated "Henry M. Book / 1962" lower left. Housed in a painted wood frame with a white filet. Sight: 22" H x 27" W. Framed: 25 1/4" H x 30 1/4" W.
Condition
Some moderate areas of flaking in lower left and lower right corners and areas where paint is unstable Some areas of flaking with associated retouching. Puncture to left edge with associated losses, approximately 1/4", does not go all the way through.
