English, mid-19th century. A tall case clock in walnut, having an arched bonnet top with eagle finial and later fretwork, the sheet metal dial painted with hunting scene and flowers, over a veneered door flanked by quarter columns, over base with matching veneer on front panel, all rising on splayed feet, with door key and winding key; ht. 90, wd. 19.75, dp. 9.25 in.
Fretwork is not original to the clock, and finial may not be. Surface damage to veneer, including to top right end of case and on base panel. Paint loss and crazing to face.
