American (Massachusetts), late 18th century. A tavern table of peg construction, in cherry with pine secondary and original red paint, having a rectangular surface with rear drop leaf and slide supports, above a single dovetailed drawer, rising on square tapered legs; ht. 28, wd. 42, dp. 22.5 in.
