The original burnished finish has been lightly enhanced with a light cleaning. You can still see the original lines left from the arsenal polishing. All markings and sub-inspector marks are sharp and crisp. Beautiful dark open-grained wood with faint cartouche on the left flat opposite of lock. Very few nicks and dings. This musket is almost mint. Very hard to find in the early dates.
