Regency Bookcase Cabinet in Mahogany
English, early 19th century. A two-part Regency bookcase cabinet in mahogany, the upper section having a molded cornice above a plain frieze and two astragal-glazed doors, before an interior with four adjustable shelves. The lower section with a rectangular, molded top over two paneled doors, opening to a one-shelf interior, all rising on shaped bracket feet; ht. 94.75, wd. 50.25, dp. 17.75 in.
Surface wear and imperfections as would be expected with age and use. Some scattered, small veneer cracks. Some repairs near door hinges of lower section. Shrinkage crack to left side panel of lower section. A couple of repairs to base molding. Backboards of lower section replaced with some wood strips added to back of upper section.
