Regency Bookcase Cabinet in Mahogany
English, early 19th century. A two-part Regency bookcase cabinet in mahogany, the upper section having a molded cornice above a plain frieze and two glazed doors, before an interior with three adjustable shelves against a light blue, floral silk panel. The lower section having a rectangular top with reeded edges over two paneled doors, opening to a one-shelf interior, all rising on a molded base; ht. 85.25, wd. 38, dp. 20 in.
Surface wear and imperfections as would be expected with age and use. Top of lower section with a couple of small molding repairs at corners. Silk panel is a later addition. Interior lock mechanisms replaced.
