.22 LR caliber, 23" barrel, S/N 144609A . Barrel with blade front sight, Winchester rear sight and Winchester proof. The frame also features a Winchester proof, and is stamped AH behind the trigger guard. The pistol grip walnut stock and forearm feature checkering, possibly done by Lind himself, as he was known to do.
Included with the rifle is a notarized letter, signed by Mrs. Ernie Lind, attesting to the rifle's provenance. The letter reads
The Winchester described below belonged to the late Ernie Lind, whose spectacular rifle, shotgun and pistol skills have packed in crowds at sportsmen's shows, fairs, rodeos, police ranges and military bases for more than three decades.
When Winchester's legendary Ad Topperwein retired, he picked Ernie and his Wife -"The Shooting Linds"- to succeed husband and wife act he and Plinky had made famous. After Top instructed the Linds in the Topperwein technique, they represented Winchester with shooting exhibitions in every state in the union as well as Canada and Mexico, shooting more than ten million rounds of ammunition in the process.
This rifle was used in exhibitions shooting his famous Indian head drawings.
I confirm the above information is true - Mrs. Ernie Lind (printed and signed).
The rifle also includes a promotional pamphlet featuring Ernie demonstrating his shooting technique. Also included is a box of nine pre-loaded Winchester loading tubes for the 63 rifle. Ernie would carry these with him to exhibitions to facilitate a quicker loading process.

The barrel and frame feature almost all of the original blue finish, with some slight nicks here and there. The wood is in excellent condition. The bore and action are excellent.
