French Louis Philippe Carved Elm Buffet a Deux Corps, 19th c., the stepped crown over double glazed doors on turned tapered supports, to a rounded corner base with two frieze drawers above double cupboard doors, on a plinth base on large ogee block feet, H.- 94 in., W.- 55 in., D.- 22 3/4 in.
Condition is consistent with age and use. There are some surface scratches visible throughout buffet top. It is possible that some might become less visible with a good cleaning. The back board to the top piece of buffet does not sit flush on bottom half of buffet. Keys are present. The bottom cabinet doors do not sit flush when closed. Overall, this is a very handsome example.
