French Louis Philippe Carved Walnut Bookcase, 19th c., the stepped crown over two mullioned glazed doors, on a plinth base on flat block feet, H.- 61 3/4 in., W.- 49 in., D.- 16 1/2 in.
Condition consistent with age and use. Key is present. A dime size hole is seen in the back. A slight warp is noted in the sides. An approximate ½ by 16 inch strip of veneer is lacking from the left and right side above the molding. An approximate 2 foot hairline crack and three flea-size holes are observed on the right side. Uneven color is seen in the finish on the left side. A filled gap is noted between the molding the base on the front left side. An approximate 12 inch white streak is seen along the left door, to the right of the glass. The left door sticks slightly. Newer hardware is seen on the interior of the doors. A classic piece.
