Information provided by the Artist: Pat Mahony was born in 1951 in Los Angeles California and graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a BA in Art with honors. Her work hovers between abstraction and representation. Saturated tones, lush abstraction and a brevity of strokes suggest an absence of wasted motion. Her work emphasizes color, composition and drama. Mahony's subject matter ranges from urban scenes, river landscapes, and still life to figures. Mahony's work has been collected by numerous museums, including the Crocker, as well as corporations and private collections across the United States.
To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on Sunday, June 14 and Monday, June 15. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Upon payment of the invoice, winning bidders will receive more information about artwork pick up and shipping.
