Information provided by the Artist: San Francisco Bay Area artist Robert Brady's career spans more than 50 years and garnered international attention. He has rigorously explored figurative abstraction with a unique style utilizing imagery, form, and color to convey his visions. His early interest led him to study at California College of Arts and Crafts focusing on ceramics, both pottery and ceramic sculpture. His interest in materials led him to explore wood as a sculptural medium which has since dominated his output as a medium. He also works effortlessly between clay, wood, mixed media, bronze, and works on paper. Robert Brady served as a professor at CSUS, Sacramento for 34 years. He is the recipient of 3 national endowment grants, made a Fellow of the American Crafts Council, including a Lifetime Achievement Award of NCECA. His work is found in many museums and is held in private collections. Robert Brady's work is represented in the Crocker's permanent collection.
To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on Sunday, June 14 and Monday, June 15. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Upon payment of the invoice, winning bidders will receive more information about artwork pick up and shipping.
