The ethno-linguistic group, Idoma, inhabits the lower western areas of Nigeria. Religious relics are carved to represent various gods and are placed in shrines to be worshipped. This particular two-toned piece, features abstract human-like facial features, lightly carved striations on its neck and some cowrie shell embellishments.
