Rubeus and Bernardius fratresque Vercellenses, 1507. 19th century mottled calf, neatly rebacked with the spine laid down. 12 x 8 1/4 inches (30.5 x 21 cm); [16], 280 (actually 279), [9] ff., one text illustration (on 2a3), fine ornamental woodcut initials throughout; aa-bb8, a-z, &, A-L8 M10 (-M10, blank). Rebacked as noted, the label partially worn away, some light browning and staining at the beginning and end, though overall a rather fresh example. Early ownership inscription on title of Joannis Caroli Kirst, 1622, inscription on title; Osterley Park (bookplate); Harry A. Levinson (his sale, Christie's 9 October, 1996, lot 166.
