SAMUEL MANASSEH BEN ISRAEL (BARTSCH, HOLLSTEIN 269; HIND 146; NEW HOLLSTEIN 156) Etching, 1636, on cream laid paper with partial Arms of Amsterdam watermark (Ash/Fletcher 1 J.b), with narrow margins, a very good impression of Usticke's second state of four, unframed. Plate 6 x 4 1/4 inches; 152 x 108 mm Sheet 6 3/16 x 4 1/2 inches; 157 x 114 mm
Condition
Some discoloration (the largest area of discoloration top right with some abrasion), some ink marks near bottom plate edge which appear to be from an inscription that has been partially removed.
