BID ON THE-SALEROOM
A pair of Edwardian silver candlesticks, each with octagonal sided loaded base rising to a tapering stem and vase shape socket with nozzle, having fluted detail throughout. Hallmarked William Hutton & Sons Ltd., London 1904. Height measures 9 1/4 inches (23.5 cm).
Both candlesticks display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Numerous small dints and nicks, especially around the base and to other edges. Some small holes starting to appear to edges and corners. Larger dents to sockets and the top of one of them appears compressed. Nozzles cannot be removed and appear jammed in place. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
