An Edwardian Art Nouveau silver mounted photograph frame, the shaped rectangular form with openwork decoration of trailing tulips, pea pod and tendril motifs, missing easel back. Hallmarked William Comyns & Sons, London 1906. Maximum height measures 9 5/8 inches (24.5 cm).
The silver mount is in a very tarnished state, almost black in appearance. There are general surface scratches and marks and some dints. Several holes in the metal are also visible. The mount is coming away in places, especially along the top. The material backing is quite worn and discoloured. The hallmarks appear rubbed but legible.
