Spanish comic book artist Raffael Cortiella (1931 - 2019) is best known for his illustrations and cover art for comics and pulp novels published both in Spain and abroad. His career began in the 1940s, with contributions to adventure, science fiction, and other comic genres published in Spain. Further study at the School of Fine Arts in Brussels, Belgium led to international publishing connections in England, Germany, and France.
