Sixth plate half-length studio portrait ambrotype of Frank Whitaker. N.p., [mid-19th century]. Full thermoplastic case with motif of an angel carrying a bouquet. Tinting to shako, sash, shoulder boards and epaulettes. Inscription identifying subject behind photograph.
A stunningly clear portrait of a young man presumably named Frank Whitaker in full uniform. He dons an impressive shako that has been given a pop of red. While no information could be found about Frank Whitaker, this certainly would prove to be an interesting research project for those looking to learn more about his story.
