  Sixth plate bust studio portrait daguerreotype. N.p., [mid-19th century]. Separated full leatherette case. 

   

  A fascinating composite daguerreotype featuring four portraits of the same sitter. Each image is taken from a slightly different angle, creating a striking visual effect in which the portraits on the left seem almost mirrored by those on the right. Both curious and visually compelling, the piece would make a distinctive addition to any collection of early photography.
