Crow breast plate necklace. Brain-tanned harness leather. French barrel beads. Shell discs. 2 ermine hang at the sides.
In regalia of the Plains tribes, ermine tails were often used to represent the wearer's elevated status, honor, and bravery. The white fur, only seen in winter, was highly prized and reserved for use in special or ceremonial pieces.
