Outdoor stereoview of Albuquerque plaza. Albuquerque, New Mexico: W.P. Bliss, [1878]. Period ink identification to recto “Red's Plaza.” Photographer's imprint printed to verso. Pencil upper margin to mount verso “1878.” Pencil identification lower margin to mount verso: “South Side of Plaza Albuquerque, N.M./ See Palace of the Governors photo archives.”
Outdoor view of the south side plaza of Albuquerque. A hardware store is seen stretching alongside the road, intersecting with a drug store with a white arched facade. An empty carriage with a horse attached is seen closest to the camera, while a pile of rubble is off in the distance, nearer to the drugstore. Upon closer inspection, approximately four people are off near the pillars of the hardware store, nearly undistinguishable. While no features can be observed, one figure does seem to be sitting while the other leans against a pillar.
