Montegrappa Vatican 2000 Papal Limited Edition fountain pen. Sterling silver and resin, with 18-karat white gold nib. 2000. Number 443/2,000. Approx. L. 5 3/4 in.
An incredibly rare fountain pen by Montegrappa. The pen's intricate designs feature Pope John Paul II and the official logo for the Great Jubilee on the cap, then a large motif on the barrel showing several cherubs surrounding God, the Virgin Mary, Jesus, Jesus as a saint carrying the cross, and a dove representing the Holy Spirit.
