Devotional glass tile mosaic depicting a portrait of Christ, attributed to Brazilian Franciscan artist Fray Arnaldo Marcolino Maas.
The composition is formed from hand-set square glass tesserae arranged in a bold modernist style. Radiating bands of gold, red, and blue glass surround the expressive face of Christ, creating a dramatic sacred image designed to be read clearly from a distance. The work reflects the simplified graphic language often associated with mid-20th-century ecclesiastical decorative arts.
Unlike other works in the collection, this mosaic contains no textual inscription, allowing the composition to function as a purely symbolic devotional portrait.
The mosaic is presented in a modern dark frame and is ready for display.
