Howard Johnson Game Used Rawlings Adirondack Bat (Greenshields Collection)
A Rawlings Adirondack professional model bat attributed to game use by Howard Johnson, standout infielder for the New York Mets and key member of the club’s 1986 World Series championship team.
The bat exhibits strong signs of professional use including ball marks, surface wear, and handling wear throughout. Player stamping “H. Johnson” and team designation “METS” are visible on the barrel, along with model and production markings.
Johnson was one of the premier power-speed players of his era, becoming one of the first players in MLB history to record multiple 30 home run / 30 stolen base seasons. His role on the iconic 1986 Mets adds further collector appeal.
Authentication & Provenance
While this item is not accompanied by third-party authentication, the bat displays use characteristics consistent with professional play and is consistent with other known examples from the era. The piece originates from the Greenshields Collection, a long-held private collection assembled over many years and featuring a broad selection of autographed sports memorabilia and professional model equipment.
