- Lot Description
A circa 19th century Caucasian flintlock with gold damascene along the lock and barrel, and a pommel of niello relief-work. The shagreen leather-covered stock is fixed to the barrel with three silver bands. The lock is decorated with gold inlay.
Bore diameter: 15mm.
Caucasia, 19th Century.
L: 16 in., (40.64 cm.)
Condition
Evidence of three barrel bands that are no longer present. Stock, pommel, and damascene are age-worn but sturdy. Some niello missing on the backstrap.
