• Lot Description

  A Caucasian kindjal dagger with a beautiful sharp, double-edge blade with two wide fullers to each side. The hilt is comprised of two polished horn scales secured to the tang via 3 silver and niello rivets. Scabbard decorated with brilliant silver and niello mounts.

  Caucasus, late 19th or early 20th century.

  L: 22 1/4 in., (56.5 cm.)

  Condition

  Scabbard tip with a tiny dent. Blade very lightly pitted at the edges. Scabbard leather is original and has several chips. Blade fits the scabbard well.
