A Chinese silver box composed of two halves, shaped as a rooster with detailed, chased feathering, set with coral and cut-glass cabochons in various places on the surface. The underside of the piece stamped with Chinese characters.
China, 19th century.
H: 4 3/4 in., (12.1 cm.)
Condition
Good, with some tiny dents in places and light folding at the rim.
