• Lot Description

  Crete knife or dagger, Ottoman Empire, 19th century with a single-edged wedge pointy blade, grip scales made of carved polished bone, hand-hammered silver sheath of characteristic form with a sea creature head scabbard tip and three silver coins attached to the scabbard by chains.

  L: 8 1/4 in., (21 cm.)

  Condition

  The overall condition is good. The blade shows minor scratches to the surface. The grip and scabbard are in fine condition, all parts are tight.
