A 19th-century hand-colored lithograph print of an American winter scene. The artwork depicts children playing in the snow along a road, amongst a horse-drawn sleigh and a pair of Oxen pulling wooden boards. An old Federal-style building can be seen on the hill behind them, lithographed and published by Haskell & Allen (American, 1860-1880).
Note: Haskell & Allen Publishing Co. (active: 1860s to 1880s) was a 19th-century American lithography and publishing firm based in Boston, Massachusetts, best known for producing vibrant color lithographs of genre scenes, hunting imagery, horse racing, and popular Americana.
