A finely crafted pair of model naval-style cannons, each with a tapering bronze barrel featuring turned rings and a flared muzzle, mounted on a well-proportioned hardwood naval carriage. The carriages are fitted with brass and iron hardware, including trunnion caps, lifting rings, side rings, securing chains, and four wooden wheels with bronze hubs. The warm patina of the bronze barrels and the rich tone of the hardwood carriages indicate quality craftsmanship typical of 19th-century maritime or military workshop models. These cannons were likely made either as presentation pieces or detailed instructional models demonstrating artillery construction and carriage mechanics.
H:7 in., (17.8 cm.) L: 18 in., (45.8 cm.)
Light surface wear consistent with age. Bronze barrels with even, dark patina. Wooden carriages with scattered minor marks, small age cracks, and wear to wheels. Hardware intact with expected oxidation to the iron chain and fittings. Overall, well-preserved and attractive examples.
