A pair of Chinese export hand-painted lidded porcelain vases for the United States market. Wiht a central decoration of the emblem of the United States of America, representing a bald eagle with arrows in one paw and an olive branch in the other. The eagle is surrounded by finely painted floral sprays and detailed borders with gilded details. Late 19th - early 20th century.H: 7 in., (18 cm.)Both in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Very minor fading to the gilding.
