Porcelain figure modeled as a lively jester advancing in animated pose, leaning forward with outstretched arm, scattering confetti from his open palm. The figure wears a fitted white costume with green and gilt-edged trim, a ruffled collar, and green shoes with red pompons, a flowing two-toned cape in red and yellow draped dramatically over the back, and a stylized cap, the modeling emphasizing movement and theatrical gesture. The facial features are finely painted with a subtle smile and expressive eyes, characteristic of interwar figural design influenced by stage and carnival themes.
The figure is raised on an oval base with a dark-edged underside. The reverse bears the green printed Pirken Hammer mark with crossed hammers, inscribed "Czechoslovakia" and "Kunst-Abteilung," consistent with export production of the late 1920s and early 1930s, and confirming manufacture by the Pirken Hammer porcelain factory.
H: 9 1/2 in., (24.1 cm.)
Excellent, with no apparent chips or cracks.
