An Italian porcelain saucer or small shaped dish of oval, lobed-shaped dish, produced by Richard Ginori at the Doccia manufactory, featuring a central polychrome painted equestrian figure of a mounted rider in uniform, executed in a stylized modernist manner against a plain white ground. The gently undulating rim is edged with a pale turquoise blue band, framing the composition with restrained elegance. The reverse bears the printed factory mark "CREAZIONE La Fonte ITALY" with crowned lion emblem, and the retailer or decorator mark "RICHARD GINORI" beneath, confirming mid-20th-century production intended for export. The piece reflects the postwar Ginori aesthetic, combining traditional porcelain forms with simplified graphic motifs and refined glazing typical of Italian design of the period.
