A finely crafted porcelain fish dish and accompanying soup tureen produced by the famed Kusnetsov porcelain factory during the waning decades of Imperial Russia. The fish dish is of a relatively simple oval form, with a rim painted with a vibrant cobalt blue trimmed with brightly gilt patterning around the entire circumference. The tureen is similarly decorated at its base and at the rim of both the bowl and its lid. The bowl shaped with 8 gently curved lobes, its lid appearing almost as a draped cloth with a small ribbon as the handle. Both the tureen and fish dish are marked on their undersides with the Kuznetsov mark as it appeared between 1891-1917. The underside of the tureen is marked 611/999.
