Cast as a standing bearded male figure in late medieval or early Renaissance military dress, wearing a brimmed helmet, short cape, and fitted tunic over hose, the figure holding a sword point-down before him in a gesture of rest or vigilance. The modeling emphasizes expressive facial features, flowing hair and beard, and carefully articulated costume details, including decorative shoulder elements, belt, scabbard, and textured leggings. The head is a removable, separately fitted component, a construction feature consistent with 19th-century silver figural production and facilitating casting, assembly, and finishing. The figure stands on an oval base cast and worked as naturalistic terrain with rocks, foliage, and ground textures in relief.
Weight: 56 oz., 1588. Silver purity: 925 or higher.
H: 19 4/16 in., (48.7 cm.)
Overall, in very good condition for its type and age. No apparent repairs or losses observed. The removable head fits securely.
