The arched rectangular case, constructed of silver, is lightly gilt and decorated throughout with engine-turned guilloché enamel in pale blue and white. The front panel is enriched with hand-painted pink roses and green foliage within shaped reserves. The circular dial is set behind a gilt bezel, with a white enamel chapter ring, black Arabic numerals, an outer minute track, and ornate pierced blued-steel hands, signed Waltham at the center. The movement is identified as an 8-day Waltham mechanical clock movement, housed within the silver case. The reverse with a plain silver back plate secured by screws, stamped F & B, STERLING, and further stamped 8-DAY, with an inscribed inventory or production number 11913. The case stands on an integrated stepped base with gilt accents.
H: 4 1/8 x 3 1/8 x 1 in., (10.5x 8 x 2.6 cm.)
The clock appears structurally sound. The enamel panels are well preserved. The silver shows light wear, surface scratching, and areas of mellow patina. The dial is clean with minor age-related wear. The movement was not tested.
