Vienna cold-painted bronze miniature depicting a chestnut seller, likely from the late 19th to early 20th century, a classic example of genre sculpture from the Viennese tradition. A boy dressed in winter clothing (hooded jacket and scarf), standing beside a charcoal brazier or chestnut roaster with a pipe chimney and a removable lid. Vienna, Austria, circa 1890–1910.H: 4 in., (10 cm.)The brinze is in excellent condition with a few chips to the enamel paint.
