- Lot Description
Very well preserved early 20th century singing bird in a brass cage, created following the earlier 19th century Napoleon III musical novelty birds. In working condition. The bird is crafted using real feathers. The automaton mechanism is hidden within a wide base encircled with floral ornamentation. Circa 1920s.H: 11 1/2 in. (29 cm)Working. Normal surface wear and signs of aging, as expected for its age.
